I am now a member of the GHR: What that means to you!

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to share some wonderful news with you all—I am now officially a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)! This is a significant milestone in my professional journey, and I’d like to take a moment to explain why this is such a positive development for both myself and my clients.

What is the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)?

The General Hypnotherapy Register is the largest professional organisations for hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom. It’s dedicated to promoting high standards in the field of hypnotherapy, ensuring that its members adhere to strict ethical guidelines and maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Why This Membership Matters to You

NHS Recognition

The GHR is recognised by the National Health Service (NHS) as a professional body for hypnotherapists. This recognition means that my practice meets rigorous standards of quality and ethics, which is a reassurance for anyone seeking hypnotherapy services.

Private Health Insurance Coverage

One of the key benefits of being a GHR member is that my hypnotherapy services may now be covered by private health insurance plans. This could make accessing hypnotherapy more affordable for many of my clients. If you have private health insurance, I encourage you to check with your provider to see if hypnotherapy is included in your plan.

Corporate Wellness Programmes (Claim back through your work!)

In today’s fast-paced world, stress and anxiety are common issues that many employees face. As a GHR-registered hypnotherapist, my services can be an integral part of corporate wellness programs. Companies that offer wellness benefits may allow employees to claim expenses for hypnotherapy, particularly for stress, anxiety, and overall well-being. This means that not only can you potentially receive support through your private health insurance, but your employer might also help cover the costs.

What Does This Mean for My Practice?

Being a member of the GHR means that I am committed to the highest standards of practice. This includes:

Adhering to a strict code of ethics

My practice is guided by a robust ethical framework, ensuring that all my clients receive professional, confidential, and respectful care.

Ongoing professional development

I am dedicated to continually updating my skills and knowledge. This means that I stay informed about the latest techniques and research in hypnotherapy, ensuring you receive the most effective and up-to-date treatments.

Enhanced credibility

The GHR membership enhances my credibility as a hypnotherapist, giving you confidence in the quality and reliability of my services.

How Can Hypnotherapy Help You?

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for addressing a variety of issues, including but not limited to:

- Stress and anxiety management

- Overcoming phobias

- Weight loss

- Smoking cessation

- Improving sleep

- Enhancing performance (in sports, academics, etc.)

- Pain management

If you’ve been considering hypnotherapy for any of these reasons, now is a great time to explore how it can benefit you, especially with the added assurance of my GHR membership.
